Field Director
Environment
Maryland has an open position for a Field Director who
would focus on environmental policy in Maryland, especially in the
areas of global warming, suburban sprawl, and the Chesapeake Bay. The
Field Director will develop campaigns to require automakers to sell
more low-emission vehicles, reduce the amount of waste burned in
incinerators, limit water pollution, promote development policies that
result in walkable, healthy communities, and work on the implementation
of our recent victories in the areas of energy efficiency, renewable
energy, and water quality protection. More
Environmental Fellowship
We
are accepting applications for an Environmental Fellow to work with
Environment Maryland or one of our partner state environmental groups
around the country. Fellows serve as the organization’s public face
for their program areas, and responsibilities include research,
lobbying, media outreach, fundraising, and more. More
Environmental Campaign Staff
The Campaign to Save the Environment, a project of the Fund for Public Interest Research,
is hiring college students, recent graduates, and activists across the
state to build citizen support for Environment Maryland, working
to
fight global warming, promote clean energy, and protect our last wild
places. Campaign staff go out into communities to talk with citizens
about the issues, raise money, and build membership for Environment
Maryland. Staff also have the opportunity to work with the media,
build
coalitions, and mobilize activists. Similar positions are available in
35 cities across the country, so for more information or to apply,
