Environment Maryland Research & Policy Center

In 2006, Environment Maryland Research & Policy Center became the new home of Maryland Public Interest Research Group Foundation's environmental work, focusing exclusively on protecting Maryland's air, water and open spaces.

Drawing on more than 30 years of experience, our professional staff combines independent research, practical ideas and effective educational campaigns to overcome the opposition of special interests and win real results for Maryland's environment.

Environment Maryland Research & Policy Center has been a leader on key environmental issues in Maryland, including reducing emissions from power plants and vehicles, reducing runoff pollution into the Chesapeake Bay, and managing development to create well-planned communities.
