Since 2009, the United States has increased its solar power generation 40-fold and upped its electric production from wind by more than 270 percent, according to a new report released today by Environment Maryland Research & Policy Center and Frontier Group. The study also highlights advances in energy savings, the increased use of energy storage and the tremendous growth of electric vehicle sales.

Since 2009, Maryland has seen an increase of 35,090%  in the amount of electricity it gets from the sun, and a 550% increase in wind power production, according to a new report released today by Environment Maryland Research & Policy Center. The report also highlights advances in the use of energy storage and electric vehicles, and Maryland is ranked 16th among the states for improvements in electricity energy efficiency programs.
